Two weeks ago, as a surprise to my parents, me and my sisters had chartered a boat to take us out around Boston Harbor … but Hurricane Ida had other plans! 🌀💨
So we had to postpone to this week, which was the perfect excuse to extend the celebration for my parents and their 50 wonderful years of marriage! 🎉 For three hours today I was able to live out all of my @belowdeckbravo dreams, Boston Harbor style 😉 Here are some of the details:
🥂 👠Similar to the show, we were greeted with a drink (mimosas) and although we didn’t need to take our shoes off, there was a strict no high heel policy!
🤩 🌊 Kids had a BLAST … and were so well behaved! They simply couldn’t believe all of the boats in the harbor and LOVED going up to visit the Captain 👨✈️ ! There was plenty of room inside and outside the boat for them to safely explore and also plenty of life jackets on board that we decided to have the youngest wear the entire time.
🍷 🥘 Drinks and food … fully stocked bar on the boat! We enjoyed mainly mimosas and bloody marys … and lots of delicious food! Cheese and fruit and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
The staff was helpful and so gracious!
👩🏻❤️💋👨🏼 💕 My parents loved having extra time as a family … which is something we don’t always get due to busy schedules and locations. We all had a few secret tears for our own reasons – mainly that the sun was setting on such special anniversary plans
Thanks to @bostonharborhotel for this wonderful recommendation! Our “family crew” is grateful for another day of making memories. This weekend filled my cup with support and love.
Has anyone else chartered a boat before? And most importantly, where are my Below Deck fans at? 😉
