“Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” ✨
Our household is chaotic. Our walls have spots colored with crayon. 🖍 Construction paper masterpieces have become our kitchen wallpaper. In almost six years, I could count full nights of sleep on one hand given failed sleep training. 😴 Balloons litter our formal living room from last night’s “starry night” sleepover. 💫 And I let a few muffled expletives slip today when I was cleaning up the playroom and stepped on yet another lego.
Hopefully, by now, you all know we are far from perfect and put together. Yet we show up everyday and do our best and have fun. Our biggest family value is around kindness. Amidst the chaos, we try and instill the importance of being kind to each other and those outside of our family unit. I already see each of them performing little acts of kindness and I am so proud. Even Teddy – who belongs to those little legs at the top of the stairs. He was protesting the picture 😉 – but I see kindness in him and my little ladies everyday.
Our house may be messy chaos, but at the end of the day, I know we are doing a few things “right” … and if you look in the mirror, I’m sure you could say the same for your family. ❤️
