Oh, hi there!
My name is Erin. I’m the author of this blog.
I’m a mother to three and wife to one. I pride myself on the work I do in HR at a Fortune 50 company; however, I also pride myself on my ability to change a diaper in record time. I consider feedback a gift and am passionate about connecting with and coaching employees at all levels of an organization. And I find myself giving the gift of feedback on a daily basis to my daughter when I explain that it’s not necessary to watch two hours of kinder egg surprise videos on YouTube. I believe there is no such thing as work-life balance … just work-life choices. And I have chosen to share my exhausting, fun, real story with you!
Rather than “working mom” I am looking to coin a different term. How about “momming worker”?
After all, in this work-life balance equation, I consider the “mom” part to have a stronger pull in my universe. To be more specific, six tiny hands with superhuman strength are those doing the pulling. Please let me be clear about one thing I believe and that is I believe that ALL moms work … no matter if you clock in some hours at a building different from your home or if you spend most of your time under one roof.
We are all in this journey called motherhood together so all of those “momming workers”, please join me …
