This past weekend, Chris and I stayed at The Langham Hotel Boston to celebrate his birthday and our 12 year wedding anniversary. As with all weekends away, the time was too short! If you’re considering a trip to Boston, I wanted to share a few highlights from our night away.
A little history …
Did you know that the hotel was formerly the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston? It was recently renovated and the vibe is one of history charm plus American classic sophistication. It’s located in the heart of Boston which makes it ideal to travel to any part of the city you might be looking to explore.

Our stay …
We stayed in one of the “premiere” rooms that had a King bed, gorgeous bathroom and a stunning mini bar set up complete with beautiful glassware and a wonderful cocktail, beer and wine offering. There was a sitting area as well and the bathroom was complete with Chuan Spa bath amenities. I would give the room and all of the details five stars!
Dining …
The hotel has two restaurants on site … the first is “Grana”, a beautiful Italian restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch. The second is “The Fed”, a British inspired pub with a New England twist. We ended up eating at The Fed. Despite there being a small menu, the food was delicious. We started with the shrimp cocktail and both ordered the steak frites. The portions were a bit small, but again the food was delicious. I enjoyed the ambiance, which lived up to the “British Pub meets New England” inspiration. When we visit The Langham Boston next time, we’ll definitely return here for a cocktail!
It was a real treat to stay at The Langham and we would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a luxury experience in downtown Boston. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments!
